The non-profit pet-adoption web service Adopt-a-Pet.com has released a statement voicing its disappointment over the rumored decision for the Obamas to obtain a dog from a breeder rather than a shelter."This is truly a missed opportunity to set a pet-adoption trend among Americans," said Abbie Moore, executive director of Adopt-a-Pet.com.
